WORK EXPERIENCE

Sun Microsystems, Inc.                                                                                     December 2004 - present

Professional Services Engagement Manager                     Santa Clara / Universal City, CA

·         Sell Sun Professional Servcies to corporate named accounts, manage the process and resources required to initiate and complete the installation and integration of Sun Microsystems technology, enable partner organizations to sell and deliver Sun Microsystems Professional Services.

Accomplishments

·         Project Management / IT Management: Successfully supported the completion of complex 4-node Sun SF E25000 cluster

implementation for Oracle Corporation.

·         Sales Development / Negotiations: Successfully negotiated complex Statement of Work and associated terms and conditions

for the above mentioned cluster implementation. This completed agreement provided substantial protection from financial risk on

behalf of Sun Microsystems.

·         Technical Content Development: Contributed to the development of a "Blueprint" document detailing the successful 4-node

Sun SF E25000 cluster implementation as well as co-wrote and co-presented a paper and presentation on the cluster project at

FOOD Share, Inc.                                                                                     April 2003 - November 2004

·         Supervise all operational functions of the Ventura County Food Bank (a 501c3 non-profit corporation)

through a staff of 16 full time employees.

Areas of responsibility:

- Information technology: Manage entire technology infrastructure including; Outside technology

  vendors, local and wide-area networks (hardware and software), wireless communications,

  application servers, network operating systems as well as provide desktop support and staff training.

- Create and manage budgets: I am responsible for approximately half of the $1.3 million annual budget.

- Manage life safety and emergency response plans and preparations.

- Represent FOOD Share in community organizations such as VOAD - Volunteer Organizations Active

in Disasters which is an emergency response group made up of organizations such as the Red Cross,

United Way and FEMA.

- Supervise the work of 300 volunteer workers through my staff.

- Warehouse operations: Supervise fleet services for 16 vehicles, facilities and physical plant management of

40,000 square feet of warehouse space.

- Product acquisition and distribution: FOOD Share processes approximately 10 million pounds of food annually.

- Customer relations and program management: The Programs Staff works with 240 charitable organizations

who in turn help feed approximately 35,000 people each month.

- Human resource administration for my teams.

- Contribute to corporate marketing, media relations and fund-raising activities.

Accomplishments

·         Project Management / IT Management: Successfully converted company’s inventory, customer

relations and general ledger applications from outdated, proprietary applications to Microsoft Navision

Financials in thirty days.

·         Staff Management: Successfully implemented new warehouse operations, product acquisition and

product distribution policies and procedures resulting in a 25% increase in revenues, and reducing

customer order errors by 75%.

·         Program Management: Redesigned and rewrote company’s emergency response (SB 198 plan) and

disaster response plans.

·         Operations:  Developed new operations data dashboard to manage key business metrics.

for the Oracle E-Business Suite 11i.
